Senior Healthcare Data Analyst

Amitech is seeking a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to work on data discovery, profiling, modeling, and mapping activities. This is a full-time, project-based position.

This role requires 80% travel or possible relocation.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to and help support Data Warehouse, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Integration, Business Intelligence, and Analytics projects
  • Collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to understand the operational nature applications and underlying databases
  • Coordinate with solution architects, developers, database administrators, and technical support teams to gain access to databases, understand configuration and usage, and perform data profiling and data discovery activities
  • Research data anomalies, duplicate data, missing data, and other data quality issues
  • Present data quality results to team members and business subject matter experts and be able to defend analysis techniques and results
  • Ensure that a cooperative and productive climate is maintained with all internal and external contacts
  • Ensure that the Supervisor and/or Manager are aware of all problems and the action that is being taken to correct the problem(s)
  • Become knowledgeable of the enterprise functions to the level necessary to accomplish assigned tasks, including data warehousing and data integration initiatives
  • In conjunction with the Manager, ensure that personal business and professional skills are continuously enhanced to maintain business and technical acumen, commensurate with the rapidly evolving health care industry and technological innovations/developments
Required Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 5 years as a data analyst with experience in source-to-target mapping, data change management, data lineage analysis, data quality analysis, metadata management, data controls
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Experience with PL/SQL and T-SQL
  • Hands-on with Microsoft SSMS and SQL Developer
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft SSIS, SSAS, SSRS is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • Experience working in a complex data environment
  • Experience developing systems using a structured methodology
  • Experience developing systems using an Agile process
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, customer service oriented
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical skills
  • Strong facilitation and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
