Job Description:
Amitech is seeking an IT Policy and Governance Analyst . The IT Policy/Governance Analyst is responsible for researching and writing an array of policy and process documents and be able to effectively communicate ideas to key audiences. 
Your Day-to-Day:
  • The policy analyst will frequently need to communicate policy guidance in response to general policy inquiries from various government employees, managers, and executives. 
  • The policy analyst identifies, analyzes, evaluates, and reports on existing and new policies and procedures. 
  • Support the customer’s IT initiatives to ensure alignment with IT strategic objectives, business goals, and internal or external compliance needs.
  • Apply technical knowledge and experience to modernize the client’s IT governance practices and principles to increase assurance of continuous compliance integration, faster delivery of changes, and improved linkages between strategy and execution.
  • Serve as a steward fostering change to operational technical governance frameworks.
  • Conduct IT strategy and governance assessments to recommend solutions for improving oversight and decisions–making to drive IT initiatives. 
  • This position requires an individual who can work well under pressure, multi-task, and participate and communicate well with a team.
  • Attention to detail, strong listening skills, and good verbal and written communications are required. 
  • This individual must be able to understand the technical content of all meetings and be able to articulate those to the customer.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • 5+ years of developing policies and processes.
  • 5+ years of experience with IT PMO and IT governance.
  • 5+ years of experience with IT strategy and design disciplines, including enterprise architecture, IT investment management, and/or IT project management.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT development or O&M programs.
  • Develops policy and supporting documentation for programs.
  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint and desktop publishing software.
  • Ability to work as an integral member of a team and proactively assist others.
  • Possess strong verbal and written skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills and detail-oriented.
  • Experience working with Government agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
